The image shows an image obtained during laparoscopy for Grade IV endometriosis. There were bilateral enomdetriomas, buried under dense adhesions involving both the tubes, posterior surface of the uterus and the uterosacrals. Adhesiolysis, bilateral cystectomy, and cauterization of the raw areas were performed.

A recent study published in the European Journal of Radiology reports that ultrasound (US)-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) ablation technique is safe and effective for treating abdominal wall endometriosis (AWE).
